Let’s Speak Vietnamese was created in 2014, out of a strong passion, a shared vision and a ceaseless commitment from Ms. Phung Thi My Hanh and Mr. Valentin Constantinescu to make Vietnamese learning easy and accessible for everyone who has the interest. Our main customers are foreigners who live and work in Vietnam and/or have a Vietnamese partner as well as the Vietnamese 2nd-3rd generations living and working abroad who wish to become fluent in their mother tongue.

We choose to offer Vietnamese lessons as an essential step in the journey of acquiring this mission because we believe that language is not merely a communication tool. It also carries cultural, historical and religious values. By creating immersive experiences, such as cultural workshops and community events, we can enhance the educational experience, enabling our students to gain insights that textbooks alone cannot provide.
Known as one of the first 2 private Vietnamese language schools in Hanoi
We provide a wide range of courses (private and group, offline and online, etc.) to support students from all backgrounds and levels. With the first 5 years, LSV had over 5,000 students, from more than 20 countries around the world (such as the UK, the US, Australia, Canada, Russia, France, Germany, South Africa, China, Korea, Japan, Philippines, etc.)
By 2018, the monthly number of students had reached over 100. We have taught employees from renowned language centers, international schools, international companies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). We also published our own Vietnamese language books, which are currently used as guidance for our tailored curriculum. By 2019, we started our Youtube channel where you can find free and useful lessons.
In addition, Let’s Speak Vietnamese has been organizing dozens of culture-exchange events between LSV students and Vietnamese locals so they can exchange their knowledge about Vietnam. Culture-experience trips to beautiful regions in the North of Vietnam are also one of our favorite activities to help our students explore Vietnam and connect with the friendly and kind-hearted Vietnamese locals.

Ivan PerissinottoI’ve had (so far) 10 private lessons with this school, and the teacher (Lilian) has proven to be not only very knowledgeable and friendly but also very patient. As an Italian, when I speak I often change the tone of my voice, which is counterproductive when you need to use specific tones to speak. She’s always been very willing to provide all the necessary explanations and satisfy my curiosity. I will definitely continue taking their lessons and hope to keep improving more and more — and faster. I can only recommend this school!! She quickly assessed my skill level and selected lessons that were fun and appropriate for me. She had an energetic teaching style and the lessons were always interesting. Quang PaaschI’ve been taking 1-1 classes at LSV with Giang from June until September and it was the best decision ever! As a Việt kiều from Germany my oral skills were always good but I never really learned how to properly read or write in Vietnamese. I decided to go to Hanoi for my gap year and challenged myself to bridge the language gap I always struggled with doing on my own. I could tell from the beginning that they truely invest time and passion in preparing the lessons, slides and exercises to the unique needs of each student. Even as a Việt kiều Giang perfectly evaluated my strenghts and weaknesses in the language and always managed to challenge me and push me to become better and better with each week. Now I am able to write, read and talk even better with confidence. The communication with LSV organisers was very good and fast as well. Just give it a try and text them for a trial session - you won’t regret it. She was very educational and gave me enough work at home to keep learning and review the lessons learned with her.
